I received this book as a gift, and what a gift it is! By far one of the most usable and understandable commentaries on the market. Phillips is a great expositor of the scriptures. The only drawback I am having is which book to begin upon finishing this one! Excellent study work.

John phillips is without a doubt one of the most gifted writers of our time. His knowledge and ability to weave the scripture into an intellectual understandable way is inspiring in its self. I learn more from his little spirit filled commentaries than from any of the more exhaustive books available.Anyone wanting a refreshing Bibical based commentary will never go wrong with his product.My only reqret is not purchasing the entine works in lieu of buying them piece meal.Tom WillisFloral City, FL
