Gina S5 Stars Out Of 5Great CurriculumNovember 10, 2016Gina SQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5My son, who is in the 5th grade, and I just recently purchased this curriculum and we really love it. It is very informative, has interesting pictures, and great projects. We recently made a model of a cell out of jello and candy. He had fun with it! I love how it ties in biblical facts into the lessons. I also purchased the journal to go with it and it has been very helpful to use with the lessons.

I would say this curriculum is geared more towards upper/middle schoolers. There is not enough good things to say! I wish I had bought it sooner - it is heaven sent!!

Trish5 Stars Out Of 5Great god-centered curriculum!October 3, 2014TrishQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I've heard good things about the Apologia series, and this anatomy curriculum did not disappoint. I use it for three kids (ages 11,9, and 7) with the notebooking journals. (The 7-yr-old used the junior notebooking journal.) The lessons are well-written and easy to understand, and the kids enjoy the Try This! activities and the experiments.
In the notebooking journals is included a lesson plan for the whole year, set up for two days per week. This was a great help to me as this is my first year homeschooling my kids. you can pick and choose which activities you want your child to do in the journal, and it's not just black and white and taking notes. There are mini books to cut and paste, crossword puzzles, and many other different activities. I also like the scripture copywork that goes with the lesson.
Everything taught in the book is tied into creation, which I love. Although we only use one textbook (to save money), it would probably be easier with one text per child. -
Mom RN5 Stars Out Of 5Great BookMay 11, 2013Mom RNQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I used this book for my 6th grade son with ADHD. He loved it and the workbook. I highly recommend the lab kit, most everything is included, it makes it so easy. Repetition of concepts in multiple ways cause the child to learn without knowing it because they are having fun with all of the hands-on activities.
