Used for son's 9th/10th grade coop class and the student's really enjoyed it. My son loved the literature as well as American documents and Bible intertwined throughout curriculum. As a parent I appreciated the teacher's guide/answer key as I could quickly grade his homework and quizzes/tests. Would highly recommend this for history/Bible/Literature/Writing for a high school student.

I appreciated Exploring America because it caused my daughter to not only learn history but also to think through her position on difficult topics in order to complete the writing assignments. The curriculum includes primary source texts that bring the thoughts of the time periods to life--what were the writers of our famous documents thinking and experiencing. I highly recommend this curriculum.

Notgrass History curricula are favorites with my family. History is explained, not with dates only, but with an understanding of what and who and why. The writing assignments cause kids to really think about what they have learned and how they feel about it. The Bible sections show the impact of Bible in History, and what the Bible has to say about our history. The book of primary documents is an excellent resource for greater understanding of the people and the times studied. Overall a great choice!

This is a high quality curriculum, without a doubt! Each unit consists of five leasons with a quiz following. This is actually a credit each (per semester) of history, literature, and Bible. Each unit has recommended hands-on projects, a Scripture memory verse, and readings from original documents, etc.

I am a 73 year old Grandmother who has never homeschooled before.and did not pay attention when I had history in high school. Not only was this material so easy to use.but as teachers often say I learned more myself. I learned all the things I did not pay attention to when I was a student. So easy to use for a beginner. I also taught Bible and this material dovetailed with that class so well. Taught our Children that God is the creator, king of this nation and always has been.
