So historically accurate as to be the closest thing to scripture that isn't scripture. Referenced as to chapter and verse which makes finding things easy and re-finding them easier. It is an immense treasure trove of information adding to a greater understanding of the times and the scriptures, filling in the blanks on many things you may or may not have wondered about and certainly didn't know about. A wonderful preservation by God. It is the jewish oral history written down, corresponding to the Bible from Genesis to the Masada.

All of these books would seem essential for the serious student of Christianity. An excellent value.
