Eight paperback books clearly teach drawing in a way that encourages users to draw more on their own and add embellishments, then practice handwriting and learn about the items just drawn. You can get art, writing, history, and natural science activities out of each lively paperback, what a great deal!

This set is great. My six children love these books. The content covered is very broad and includes science, history, geography, color concepts, storybook characters and more. The only thing I don't like is that the series does not introduce cursive writing, so you still have to buy a cursive handwriting program. Also we use Getty-Dubay Italic and the series is more of a manuscript style, so I see some inconsistency in my children's handwriting, but nothing major. These books are a great introduction to art and printing.

I had these books on my homeschool "wish list" for quite some time. When another art curriculum I bought was a bit too advanced for my kids, I splurged and picked up the entire set. My two kids (3 and 5) LOVE these books! They love the step-by-step process of drawing, and my 5-year old loves to write down the facts about each animal that we have drawn so far. I see these being used for many, many years to come. I already have other moms wanting to borrow them, but I'm not sure about that....
