LovinJesusRedding, CAAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5This book helped a friend with loss of husbandMay 11, 2012LovinJesusRedding, CAAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5When I purchased this book I wasn't sure if it would help one of my best friends with the loss of her husband of 25 years, since I had never lost a spouse. As she began to read it it she began to thank me and she continued to thank me for giving it to her every day during her initial period of loss. She told me she would not have known what thoughts and feelings to expect without this book and now realized they were normal. It seemed to relieve her mind and gave her as much peace as could be expected during her initial grieving period. Also, this book was small enough not to overwhelm her - she could read it in one day, easily. I would recommend this book to anyone who is going through the loss of the love of their life.

It seemed like the author knew exactly what stages were you going through, just exactly how you felt at certain times and some wonderful insights on how to cope and get through the difficult times. Its a powerful treasure to have and be able to go back to it time and time again when certain feelings come over you.

Margaret RhonePAAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5July 30, 2009Margaret RhonePAAge: Over 65Gender: femaleThis is an excellent book to read on losing your spouse. It helps you to see that your suffering is something that everyone feels and you do not feel so alone. When you ask why did this happen to me and why now, it gives you examples as to how others have handled these question and makes you look at the death of your spouse and the hurt you feel in a new light. I read this book five years ago when my husband died and passed it on to a good friend a couple of years later and have now purchased another one an gave to my sister when she lost her husband this month. If you have lost your spouse read this book and look to God for healing. It happened to me and it can to you too.
