This is a great book. I like the topic. I am 9 1/2 years old and it was not to scary for me. It's like a Henty book but with a mystery with it. It made me excited to open my bible to find the areas that were talked about since it gives you references in the book. I would recommend it to others.

My 11 year old son absolutely loves these books. They are adventurous and full of suspense, but not too scarey. There is reference to scripture in the stories and the Cooper Kids often seek biblical guidance. They're wonderful for my son - he likes to read, but is picky about his books.

We gave the first three books in the series to our 11 year old nephew. He is excited to get more.

Jay and Lila Cooper travel to Nepur with their archaeologist father to uncover the truth behind an ancient legend. The people of Nepur fear a dark cavern called the Dragons Throat. Deep under the earth the Coopers discover a bronze door that is said to bring death to any who tries to open it. But the Coopers are not afraid of any legend. They study the door, try to open it, and go on a mysterious and dangerous hunt for a special key. Is there really a massive treasure behind the Door in the Dragons Throat? Or could there be a reason no one has ever managed to open it?This was an exciting read, jam packed with Indiana Jones-type adventure and a wonderful plot for a book this short. Peretti is a wonderful storyteller who doesnt need hundreds of pages to entertain. The characters were brave, honest, and fun to read. I highly recommend this book for readers of all ages.
