Booklover105 Stars Out Of 5Sad to say goodbye to the Baxters!July 28, 2012Booklover10Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I'm so sad that the Baxter's have come to the end with the final book written about them. If you've followed the whole Baxter family series and all of the spin-offs, then you will definitely want to make sure you read this book. However, it's a bit different than I had thought it would be. I was crying halfway through when I saw how the Baxter family would end their time in these books. When you've gotten so close to each character, it's so hard to say goodbye to them.
Karen does a wonderful job at making sure that even new readers could pick this book up and get a great glimpse into the lives and pasts of the main Baxter family. It is definitely more meaningful if you've read all of the series, but she summarizes with just enough detail for new people and not so much of a summary that it bores her readers that have followed them along the way.
The book has a twist, like all of her books. It's not all wrapped up in a nice big bow, so watch out for the tears and the "ugly cries!" However, you will end knowing that each Baxter is happy and is where God wants each of them to be.
This book is a must have for all of the series collectors out there! And to you new readers of Karen Kingsbury: you've got to read this entire series, but this book is a great place to start!

debsMaineAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Coming Home ~ Karen KingsburyJuly 22, 2012debsMaineAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5The Baxter family is back and ready for a reunion. Karen has done it again, she has written another book for us fans. I have been following the Baxter family from the begining and always look forward to the next one as soon as I finish the current one. This story is the end of the Baxter's family as she has bought everyone together for a family reunion, only to have the usual twists, turns, and faith that Karen always brings us. This story can be read by all of us fans and also by the new fans, Karen has done a great job to allow everyone to this book. She has written it so that you will know what is going on along with those of us that have been involved with the family will get closure to certain characters stories that we became touched by. For those that have not been following the Baxter family this book will make you want to read the others, and I encourage everyone to do that. You will laugh, cry and think you know what is going to happen, but don't be so sure as the story always has GOD to take care of how to show the faith this family has. The book starts as a happy story and then tradegy strikes and makes the family turn to GOD, show love for your family and realize that forgiveness, love and following your faith is what life is all about.
I loved this book ..... I read this in one sitting as I always do, because you can't put the book down you just have to know what is going to happen. My husband always dreads when I get a new Karen book because he knows as soon as I open the cover he will not see me until I reach the last page. When I finished a Baxter family series adventure, I would always count the days until the next one, this is a sad day for me, as she has said this is the last book in the Baxter family ;-(. Thank you Karen for allowing this book to be on Netgalley and blessing me to be able to read it and review!

JoyceBenson, NcAge: Over 65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Book is inspiring, heartbreaking, unforgettable!July 19, 2012JoyceBenson, NcAge: Over 65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5Karen Kingsbury never disappoints me and Coming Home is no exception. I have read all of the Baxter family books and feel that their family is my family. Coming Home is a wonderful book of faith and inspiration, but have a box of Kleenix handy. It reinforces my understanding that Christians are not immune to problems in this world, but God is with us whatever we go through and will bring us out victorious.

Betty MondaSullivan, MoAge: 55-65Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Great book.June 29, 2012Betty MondaSullivan, MoAge: 55-65Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5I think this is one of Karen's best books yet. It was spellbinding, but it truly shows how God can see us through the really tragic times in our life. How we can rely on God's strength to help us to face each new day. It shows how important family is to be able to lean on each other through the hard times. I would highly recommend this whole series to anyone. Thank you, Karen for this series. It has touched my life and given me hope. God bless.
