Luv2ReadAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Inspirational Family Movie for Church Library-Yay!December 27, 2013Luv2ReadAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5What a clean, inspiring and meaningful family movie! A bit predictable which I don't mind a bit. Quality is so much better for this Christian film than in films in the past with cinema & with sound. "Christmas Oranges" captivated my children's interest throughout. Humor is appropriately interspersed throughout serious ("heavy") portions. My children were touched by the lesson of forgiveness & reconciliation. I'm truly excited to donate this to our Family Movie Section of our church library.
Side Note: PG rating is most likely due to death(from sickness)? I'm really picky about what I donate to our church library and have no qualms about donating this movie.
Another side note: For those interested, Santa Claus receives no mention as far as I recall. -
olive5 Stars Out Of 5Christmas OrangesJanuary 15, 2016oliveQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5i first recorded this movie from Starz t.v. Christmas of 2014 and immediately loved it and shared it with my 6 grandchildren and it now is in my top 5 Christmas movies of all time! It displays to children the value of loving each other, being appreciative of the small things in life, and to us adults the power of forgiveness and reconciliation of relationships in life. In all it makes me have hope in people to have a second chance in connecting with each other. Do yourself a favor and enjoy a copy! I recently bought two copies and donated one to our local library!

K.K.5 Stars Out Of 5My new Christmas favorite!December 2, 2015K.K.Quality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5What an outstanding movie! While this isn't a movie that is outwardly proclaiming Christ ("the Good Lord" is mentioned a couple times as they give thanks), you can't help but to see God throughout the whole movie! We are SOOOO blessed in so many ways and this movie brings you to the point that you can't help but to be sending out prayers of thanksgiving for all the Lord has done for us. It's a movie on forgiveness and it made me think of what Christ has done for us, "While we were yet sinners Christ died for us!" (Rom. 5:8) and how when we see others sinning against us, that we are to be quick to forgive them, and to be "extra nice" because they are probably in pain and sadness. What a great GREAT visual of that in this movie! This little "Rose" can teach young and old alike many attributes displayed in the Bible and remind us at every glance of an orange about God's gift to us and how it's SO sweet, yet we can often take it for granted by not seeing the gift, because it's so commonplace in the freedom we have in America. Thank you for reminding us of our many MANY blessings! What a sweet, wholesome, wonderful movie that reminds us all the simplicity of Christ's Love. It was refreshing to have to "find" it instead of the normal Christian movie that spells the gospel out for us, without any reflexing. I thought this was creatively done in a way that a non-believer would watch it in it's entirety and then in processing it, would get the gospel in the silent message. Bring the tissues...you may need the whole box!
