A SEASONED JOURNALIST CHASES DOWN THE BIGGEST STORY IN HISTORY
Is there credible evidence that
Jesus of Nazareth really is the Son of God?
Retracing his own spiritual journey from atheism to faith, Lee Strobel, former legal editor of the Chicago Tribune, cross-examines a dozen experts with doctorates who are specialists in the areas of old manuscripts, textual criticism, and biblical studies.
Strobel challenges them with questions like How reliable is the New Testament? Does evidence for Jesus exist outside the Bible? Is there any reason to believe the resurrection was an actual event?
Strobels tough, point-blank questions make this bestselling book read like a captivating, fast-paced novel. But its not fiction. Its a riveting quest for the truth about historys most compelling figure.
What will your verdict be in the The Case for Christ?
Lee Strobel probes with bulldog-like tenacity the evidence for the truth of biblical Christianity.
Bruce M. Metzger, PhD, Professor of New Testament, Emeritus, Princeton Theological Seminary
Lee Strobel was the award-winning legal editor of The Chicago Tribune and is the best-selling author of The Case for Faith, The Case for Christ, and The Case for a Creator, all of which have been made into documentaries by Lionsgate. With a journalism degree from the University of Missouri and a Master of Studies in Law degree from Yale, Lee wrote 3 Gold Medallion winners and the 2005 Book of the Year with Gary Poole. The authorities that speak cover areas rarely covered in sermons or Bible studies. The depth of the subject is totally reassuring and the breadth only complements that. The physical reactions that Jesus had to endure are beyond my verbal capabilities. No one had ever explained it to me. I am much more confident in the Bible's literal truth.

I place this book on "the must read list" of journalism. It will lead you on to read other publications he has written on Christian subjects. He uses the same investigative format in each.
