This was the most amazing movie that I seen in awhile. My mom always told me never to open the door for satan to come in. And like in the movie it only took one time of play a oujia board game. For satan to come against this young girl. Thank God for the power of a praying mom.

the Australian producers of the film, i believe, are trying to present the Biblical warning against the occult, using realism, to a generation that is dulled by the violence and media sensory input around us. they have shown the reality of the spiritual alongside the physical. unfortunately, it is my opinion that they pushed the realism too far in the opening scene.

it depicts a girl experiencing an overdose (witnessed by the main character of the film). the paramedics cut away the girl's shirt (leaving her in a bra) to give her a charge of voltage, trying to revive her. it is an unnecessary and gratuitous scene that lasts quite some time , could have (and should have ) been filmed differently in a Christian film. i averted my eyes until the scene ended. having read the reviews, i knew there was something questionable, but many rated it positively and i watched the rest of the film to completion. it is not a 'keeper' and was inexpensive. the opening scene can be avoided by going into the 'scene' mode and skipping to the second.

psalm 91 is misquoted, although the meaning of it's power is still present. the film depicts in a pg 13 way the disastrous effects of involvement in the occult (in this case, a Ouija board in a college dorm). in contrast to this is the main character's faith that has been weakened by the death of a loved one. much is Biblical, but very strong caution for the first scene. and, although God is mentioned throughout, the Name of Jesus is not mentioned once, only implied. can't recommend purchase.

some scenes very inappropriate. does one need to see evil to know it exist ? The mind is visual satan is on the prowl with pushing the limits
