ShannonAge: 45-54Gender: Female5 Stars Out Of 5Love it!July 28, 2016ShannonAge: 45-54Gender: FemaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5As a Francine Rivers fan I love everything she has written and this novel is no exception. There was an unexpected twist at the end that I did not see coming, so Mrs. Rivers continues to inspire, encourage and challenge me. I confess at first I thought this novel was just "Redeeming Love" set in a different time period. As I read on, I felt it was a metaphor for the prodigal son. In the final pages/author notes I learned the idea for this novel is Ezekiel 16. Francine Rivers is just "awesomely amazing"! She continues to "out do" herself with each novel. I highly recommend to all!

McGuiremamaColoradoAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5Themes of Redemption and ForgivenessAugust 7, 2014McGuiremamaColoradoAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5It's tough not to like Francine Rivers' writing. Redemption is such a strong theme is all of her books, and she does it again with this story. While I have never run away from home, I can relate to the concepts of doing things I know God must be ashamed of, despite knowing better from the teaching I grew up with. I loved that the main character doesn't come to terms with her faith in some showy, movie-star sort of way. It's an authentic, grace-filled journey that clearly shows God's love for each one of us. I would highly recommend this to any fans of Christian fiction. The story is interesting, it keeps the book moving, but the overall message is one we all need.
