BASIC.FEAR GOD is the first film in a seven-part short film series from the creators of NOOMA featuring Francis Chan.
To understand the relationship between God and man, we turn to those who have directly interacted with Him in the Bible. In each case, they are met with fear. Not respect, reverence or courage, but sheer speechlessness, humility, and complete surrender. They are overcome with pure fear and many of them cry out to be destroyed.
Most people today have lost this fear. We must understand that a true fear of God leads to the keeping of His commandments, leads to life, and is the beginning of wisdom.
Everyone who has come face-to-face with God falls over in fear. Do you think you'd do anything different?
Andrea40MIAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5A book that every Christian should read!May 11, 2011Andrea40MIAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5We got started listening to a friend's audio book of Crazy Love. It turned into an evening devotional for our whole family. We'd listen to a chapter at a time, and then discuss it. It was a powerful teaching for all of us, esp. the kids.
Many of the truths Pastor Chan brings to light and teaches here are obvious; but too often they are forgotten or ignored, or misinterpreted. Modern day Christians need to read or hear this message, as it will transform how we all treat one another, love one another, and live out the bibilical model of "love".
I would strongly recommend this book to anyone...anyone who wants to grow, or even rekindle that "first love". It is a most excellent book!

Laura Smith5 Stars Out Of 5August 11, 2010Laura SmithThis was so beautifully done. As always, Francis Chan sends the message the biblical way, and it is they way it should be done. God bless him, and all the people involved in this project. I'd hope it was longer for the price, but it doesn't matter, it was breathtaking. Thanks to Christianbook.com for bringing the real thing to your store. God bless!
