This is a wonderful book. I've bought about 2 dozen copies and given them to friends who have lost loved ones. It is very scripturallly written with no personal opinions--just Biblical facts. It has helped me and many others get their feet back on the ground after tragedy. My 19-yr old grandson was murdered in 2007--my daughter's only child. This book helped her get God's perspective during the grieving process. Great book!

The thought of death fills many Christians and nonbelievers with fear, that they try to avoid thinking or talking about the topic altogether. But sooner or later, everyone must face death. So, what happens after we die? In this slim volume, Mark Hitchcock offers an enlightening view of life after death. In 55 short chapters, Hitchcock, a pastor and prophecy expert, examines questions most people have asked at some point: What is death? Where do people go when they die? What is heaven like? Throughout the book, Hitchcock uses Scripture references to answer the questions he poses. Hitchcock does not pull any punches in addressing his topics, particularly heaven and hell. In Matthew 25:46, both heaven and hell are described as eternal, Hitchcock writes. His answers are in-depth, but not preachy, and many of the books chapters seldom extend beyond three pages. 55 Answers to Questions about Life After Death is a fast-paced, easy-to-read volume that readers will find difficult to put down. Hitchcocks book will undoubtedly jar some readers, but it will do so while answering complex questions with precision. -- James Hendrix, Ph.D., Christian Book Previews.com

I highly recommend this book to everyone, although there was one part I disagree with regarding suicide. Even so, the book is easy to read and it gives Bible references that support it's explanations.

I bought 20 of these books to use in a Ladies Bible Study. My ladies are are very thankful for the insight given in this book. One of the most frequent comments is that the author's comments are always backed with scriptural references.
