tammycookblogsbooks5 Stars Out Of 5I often find myself wanting more after the endJanuary 19, 2017tammycookblogsbooksQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5It is so much fun to get a little taste of how the authors can write with these short stories. I often find myself wanting more after the end of a novella. I think Thomas Nelson's collections of novellas are a good way to sample several authors at one time. I enjoyed all four stories in An Amish Second Christmas. One part I liked was returning to West Kootenia with Tricia Goyer. The novellas are quick to digest. While it is easy to get through one in a short time, I think you will want to keep going until the whole book is finished. I feel the Christmas theme found in them is great to read around the holidays of Thanksgiving and Christmas. Reading An Amish Second Christmas helped set the mood for the fun of the holidays, which includes New Years. Each author brings a unique writing style that shows God working in the lives of their characters. This is another great collection of novellas from Thomas Nelson. I was provided a complimentary review copy of this book. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Tina W5 Stars Out Of 5My favorite!!January 1, 2015Tina WQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for An Amish Second Christmas - eBook. An Amish Second Christmas is a delightful fast read of four novellas written by four different authors. All four novellas are about different themes and topics but the characters are to lean on their faith to open their heart to what the Lord is trying to tell them. They see that when we lean on him our lives go better, even unplanned events.
An Amish Second Christmas is by far my favorite novella collection book to read. It is a MUST read for the Christmas season.

JCMorrowsAge: 35-44Gender: female5 Stars Out Of 5The BEST Christmas story I've read yet this season!November 11, 2014JCMorrowsAge: 35-44Gender: femaleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This one is going to be hard for me
Because, honestly
Im not sure I can really do justice to how truly amazing these authors are!
WOW! Just WOW!
Beth Wiseman writes a very different kind of story in this book. Even reading the synopsis, I was not prepared. It was intriguing and interesting and a story worth reading.
Kathleen Fuller has written a wonderful story about love and how it deals with boundaries.
Tricia Goyer has told us another wonderful story of the Kootenai Amish. Its always fun to read about those wily bachelors and the women they woo even more so when theres pie involved!
Each story in this book is an amazing story and a wonderful look at how the Amish celebrate Christmas or more specifically, Second Christmas.
But I have to say that my absolute favorite has to be
Her Christmas Pen Pal by Ruth Reid!
I was in so much trouble with my daughter AND my mother because I WOULD NOT put the book down until I had finished reading!
I laughed, I felt like crying, I gasped in shock and I cheered!
I have read Ruth Reids writing before but I have to say that this is by far the best thing she has ever written! And I really really really hope everyone loves it so much and she writes a whole series on it!
Because Im just DYING to know more about the characters!
And that is the mark of a GREAT book in my opinion. I was actually sad when I turned the last page! Of course I had two more stories to read so it was a tiny bit of a consolation but I WANTED MORE OF THAT ONE!
And now Im chomping at the bit for Ruths next book to come out!
