"A Miracle for Miriam" by Kathleen Fuller - This was a sweet story with a strong message. Forgiveness and self-worth are the main themes throughout this story and the author does an excellent job of getting them across. The characters are well-written and you can really see the changes in them in such a short story. Overall, I enjoyed this novella and will definitely read more by Kathleen!

"A Choice to Forgive" by Beth Wiseman - This book is all about forgiveness. Beth Wiseman does a fantastic job of weaving forgiveness throughout the entire story. Daniel and Lydia are great characters with a heavy past to overcome. I enjoyed the stories and the obstacles the author put in their places for them to overcome. It kept the story moving in a swift pace. Overall, it was well written story that I thoroughly enjoyed.

"One Child" by Barbara Cameron - What a powerful novella that shows how God really does work in mysterious ways. David and Sarah are grieving. On Christmas night, a stranger knocks on their door seeking shelter for him and his pregnant wife. Both families, in their own ways, help comfort and support each other. This was an excellent book and I will definitely be reading more by Barbara Cameron!

"Christmas Cradles" by Kelly Long - Do you believe in love at first sight? This is a heartwarming novella about second chances, overcoming shame, and accepting the gift the Lord has given. I enjoyed the sparks and attraction between Asa and Anna. The description of the storm made me want to cozy up with a blanket by the fire. I think this was my favorite story of the four.

Overall, I really enjoyed this collection of novellas and I look forward to reading An Amish Second Christmas soon!

I really love these stories. I am totally in awe especially of the first three stories all written by different authors yet they blended the characters from the previous stories into their own story lines. That took a lot of working together on the authors part and the end results was just three beautiful stories. The last story was a little bit different and though okay I did not like some parts of it. This book really is a great and wholesome and uplifting read. I highly recommend this book.

The four novellas in this volume connect the community and its residents. The authors did a great job at keeping the story flowing, each story with a different focus and main character. They include sorrows and troubles, as well as joys and adventure. The winning combination makes it a cherished book to savor during the season or any time. I received a copy from one of the authors. All opinions are my own.

This book is great. I was tentative to crack it open as I thought it would be predictable or "just another Amish story." However, it's completely the opposite. It's heartwarming and keeps you engaged. The stories blend Amish life with modern day. I love the way the four different books flow together and it's amazing how they compliment one another though written by four different authors. A very pleasant and well deserved read.

My favorite novella was Kelly Long's Christmas Cradles which I would have given five plus stars. I also enjoyed Beth Wiseman's A Choice to Forgive, 5 Stars. However the other two novellas were thin on characterization and story line and I was quite disappointed in the listen, 3's on those.

Kelly Long's novella was definitely worth reading on its own. A strong character, an Amish midwife, Anna Stollis, falls for an equally strong handsome and capable young man, Asa Mast, as they go about delivering babies one stormy Christmas night. The hero and heroine are in their late twenties.

Kelly Marie Long is one of my new favorite authors. She really knows how to craft believable characters and her romances are the best around. Grab this book and curl up by the fire for a great read as Anna and Asa bring new life into the world while beginning their own lives together!
