VicsMediaRoomIrvine, CAAge: 55-65Gender: male5 Stars Out Of 5Clever Romance About Family & What Is Important In LifeApril 3, 2015VicsMediaRoomIrvine, CAAge: 55-65Gender: maleQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for A Most Inconvenient Marriage.Regina Jennings in her new book A Most Inconvenient Marriage published by Bethany House introduces us to Abigail Stuart.
From the back cover: Abigail Stuart Thought She was Jeremiah Calhouns Widow.
But Jeremiah Calhoun Is Very Handsome, Very Alive, and Very Perplexed.
Most Inconvenient Indeed.
With few options of her own, nurse Abigail Stuart agrees to marry her patient, a gravely wounded soldier calling himself Jeremiah Calhoun. They arrange a quick ceremony before he dies, giving Abigail the rights to his Ozark farm and giving Jeremiah the peace of knowing someone will care for his ailing sister after hes gonea practical solution for both of them.
After the war, Abigail fulfills her side of the bargainuntil the real Jeremiah Calhoun shows up, injured but definitely alive, and wastes no time in challenging Abigails story. Abigail is flummoxed. After months of claiming to be his widow, how can she explain that shes never seen this Jeremiah Calhoun before? How can she convince him that she isnt trying to steal his farm? And will she find a way to stay, even though this practical arrangement has turned into a most inconvenient marriage?
Wow, what a situation. Abigail feels sorry for a wounded soldier and marries him to grant his last wish of caring for his younger sister. Then he dies and she relocates to Missouri. After convincing the family that everything she tells them is true Jeremiah returns home. However this is not the Jeremiah that she married and died it is the real Jeremiah and he has no idea of who she is. Now these two have to work together. This is one of the cleverest stories I have ever come across. This has drama, some suspense and loads of fun. Quite possible this might be Ms. Jennings best. And on top of everything this is a romance. This is a book about family and what is important in life. Ms. Jennings knows how to create characters that live on the page and that we get to know and love. Get ready for an exciting read that will keep you flipping pages and keep you emotionally involved.

I thought it was so cute and I hoped the story inside would match... and as always, Regina Jennings provides a fun, humorous story full of history, love, faith, struggle and amusement. You can't help but be intrigued by the stories of the history surrounding the Civil War. The situations that people within our nation came up against were real, difficult and life-changing. In her normal style, Regina brings some of these situations to life and allows us to read about them in her fun stories.

Mrs ARS5 Stars Out Of 5I Inconveniently Could Not Put This DownFebruary 21, 2015Mrs ARSQuality: 5Value: 5Meets Expectations: 5This review was written for A Most Inconvenient Marriage.A Most Inconvenient Marriage by Regina Jennings was such a fun read, I read it in less than 24 hours. I could not put this book down. Taking place right after the Civil War, Nurse Abigail Stuart gives in to a dying soldiers request and marries him. Jeremiah Calhoun was her late husbands name and his main concern was for his sister Rachel to be taken care of. In the bargain Abigail would receive the rights to his farm. Being driven from her own family, Abigail quickly makes her way to the Ozark farm and sets up house with her mother -in-law and Rachel, her sister-in-law. Just to make things interesting, she must also confront Jeremiahs fianc, Laurel, and let her know that he loved Laurel till the end. But marrying Abigail was for the best for his ailing sister. Their lives begin to settle into a new pattern until the real Jeremiah Calhoun shows up back home. Injured himself, he is bound and determined not to let this woman into his life and he wants to pick things back up with his fianc Laurel. This story delivers a delightful tale of antics, a slow burn love, danger, and the companionship of friends and neighbors. Not to mention the mystery of whom Abigail actually married if it was not Jeremiah Calhoun. I highly recommend this one by Regina Jennings and it is going on my keeper shelf. I received my copy from The Book Club Network, Inc. for an honest review and the opinions are my own.
