This young boy Jonas with an English background has nothing in the World to build his future on but dreams and plans. But despite the lack of resources Jonas borrows his employers buggy and takes a leap of faith and makes his first step into realizing his dreams by taking Caroline on buggy ride. The surprise that waited on him around the corner could have been only from God Himself.
Do you have dreams and plans but no means to realize them? Take a first step in faith and see what God can do with you..

Linda RAge: 55-65Gender: Female4 Stars Out Of 5A Home in the West (The Amish of Apple Grove Prequel)June 18, 2019Linda RAge: 55-65Gender: FemaleAfter the death of his father and the loss of the family farm, the only hope for Jonas Switzer to be able to provide for a family is to make his own. His dream is to do that out West. Jonas also knows he wants Caroline Hersberger to be his wife and go with him.
This story is supposed to be the prequel to Lori Copeland's series, The Amish of Apple Grove; however, it is much too short to be called that. Especially depending on where the first book begins, there needs to be a lot more background information about these two characters. I did enjoy it though and look forward to reading the next part.

tnhackEast Tennessee3 Stars Out Of 5A little disappointing for a Lori Copeland storyOctober 18, 2013tnhackEast TennesseeQuality: 3Value: 5Meets Expectations: 3A good story, but I'm used to Lori Copeland's great novels that incorporate realistic characters with humor and the need for strong faith in the true God. I love the fact that I can get free ebooks from Christianbook!
