June Hunt is an accomplished author, singer, speaker, and the CEO of Hope for the Heart, which she founded in 1986. Since then, the ministry has offered hope and help through biblically-based counsel and encouragement to people in 40 countries.
A dynamic Christian leader, Hunt has made landmark contributions in the field of Christian counseling. As part of a lifelong commitment to providing God's truth for today's problems, she hosts two radio programs. Hope For The Heart is an award winning broadcast heard daily on approximately 120 stations across America, and Hope In The Night is a live two-hour call-in counseling program that helps people
untie their tangled problems with biblical hope and practical help. Through her warmth, wisdom, and gentle candor, Hunt builds penetrating dialogues with listeners, often with life-changing results.
After years of teaching and research, Hunt developed 100 topical Biblical Counseling Keys, which now comprise The Biblical Counseling Library (Hope for the Heart). She also penned How to Forgive... When You Don't Feel Like It (Harvest House), Seeing Yourself Through God's Eyes (Zondervan), Healing the Hurting Heart (Harvest House), Bonding with Your Teen through Boundaries (Broadman & Holman), and over 30 Hope Books (Hope for the Heart). Caring for a Loved One with Cancer (Hope for the Heart) comes out of her own experience as a cancer survivor and offers a personal view on how to better express love and compassion to a loved one with cancer. She is also a contributor to the Soul Care Bible (Thomas Nelson) and the Women's Devotional Bible (Zondervan).

Numerous national television and radio programs have featured Hunt as a guest, including The Today Show, 100 Huntley Street, The 700 Club, Home Life, Life Today, and Celebration. Hunt has also toured overseas with the USO and has been a guest soloist with the Billy Graham Crusades.
A popular guest professor at colleges and seminaries and a sought-after conference speaker, Hunt speaks around the world on topics such as crisis counseling, domestic abuse, homosexuality, forgiveness, singleness, and self-worth. She is also a frequent speaker at religious and broadcasting events. Her work has earned numerous accolades from the Christian and broadcasting communities. In 2008, Hunt was selected as the recipient of the prestigious Women in Christian Media Excellence in Communications Award.
Hunt holds a Masters of Arts degree in counseling from The Criswell College. In 1991, she was presented with an honorary Doctor of Law degree by The Criswell College, and in 1993 received an honorary Doctorate in Literature from Dallas Baptist University.
