I have purchased other marking tools, but this is the one is almost always use. In addition to the Bibles, it finds use in every other form of printed matter that I read. I don't want to use anything else because I want to use this -- it's that compelling. Easy to use, excellent construction, eight colors in one easy to carry package. I thought it was rather pricey until I used it; it's been worth every cent since then. If you are a serious student of anything, but especially of Bibles and biblical literature where paper is often thin and delicate, then you NEED this pencil.

This is by far the best hilighter for bibles. It truly does not bleed thru. The other types of hi-lighters that say they don't bleed thru really do but this one doesn't. If used PROPERLY it is the best. I have used it for several years and have yet to replace the colors although I do have refills.

I have had this pencil for several years, and use it a lot. I bought extra leads for the pencil, but they have lasted longer than expected, so I have not needed to use the extras yet. contrary to some listings, this pencil is very easy to use, and it is well made to last a long time.

I purchased my first "pentel" 8-color highlighter pencil many years ago...since then have not only bought 3 more, I made sure I bought the refills too! Don't let the price turn you away....I still am using my original one and have yet to use the refills! You won't be disappointed! I make sure I have them in both my home & camp.

Bible Marking Plan:To enhance, direct and focus your mind during Bible study, it is helpful to mark neatly and distinctly the differing ideas presented in Gods Word. This can easily be done using a color coding system. Using a color coding system will help you to slow down, and think more about what Gods Word is saying to you personally. It will also help you to find topics and references easily in the future. Try this suggested system or make up your own. RED represents the power and blood of Christ, which washes away our sins. It is also used for His promises, or anything to do with God. This color is used to help us clearly see what Gods work is and what He will do to save us.BLUE represents obedience in the sanctuary. As Christians, we have been born again, and are to live new lives. This color is used to help us clearly identify what God wants us [through His grace and power] to do and to be. PINK is used to denote a childs part or anything specific to infants and children. ORANGE represents Gods warnings, cautions, reproofs, or corrections.BROWN is used for Satans wrong ways of life. Brown highlights the thoughts, words or actions that are evil. Evil is any selfishness. Brown is likened to the dirt from which we need to be cleansed. GREEN highlights anything to do with faith. Biblically, green denotes faith. YELLOW is used to highlight any information that is interesting and that you want to find at a later date. A Box around a word or words is used to highlight key phrases, words or topics that you want to find at a quick glance later. NOTE: You may find that it looks neater to underline the text instead of highlighting. However, since it can be difficult to differentiate between the colors red and pink, you may want to highlight with pink, while underlining all other colors. This Bible marking system was created by Sally Hohnberger. www.empoweredlivingministries.org
