The new 1-2 Samuel text has the features of other books in this series. Each lesson is long - takes several hours to properly prepare, and is not fully covered in an evening as too much would be missed. We took 3 nights to cover Lesson 1 of 8. Because of content and explanations, we would heartily recommend this new book to others.

I bought this book for our small group Bible study. We are very happy with it. The questions cause a lot of discussion as well are thought provoking. It also provides insight to the book of Samuel , to the Israelites, and their relationship with God. I have studied the books of Samuel before using other formats including just the Bible and I have found this study to be very good.

Our group is very engaged with this study - very personally challenging and leads to much discussion even from those that don't discuss as much. We never try to "complete" a lesson in the allotted time - we just pick up where we ended the last study session and that works best for all.

There is good commentary material and good questions that make the student delve and think before answering.

These studies are fantastic, and really get you thinking. The conversations really move along well with the guidance of the questions. So glad there is a study for any book we desire to discuss.
